This hairstyle can be done on dolls with medium to long hair.

Photobucket

Things you need for this hairstyle:

A brush
A rubber band

Photobucket

Step 1:

Brush your dolls hair.
Then gather a small section of hair from the top of your doll's head.

Photobucket

Step 2:

Divide this section into three parts.

Cristal's Tip: Try and make each part have the same amount of hair.

Photobucket

Step 3:

Pick up the section of hair on the left.....

Photobucket

...... and cross it over the middle section.

Photobucket

Step 4:

Then take the section of hair on the right....

Photobucket

....... and cross it over the new middle section.

Photobucket

Step 5:

Now the tricky part! Take the strand of hair that is now on the left, and add a little more hair to it from the left side of the head.

Cristal's Tip:  Brush the sections of hair each time you add to them.  This is difficult because you are holding onto so many things at one time, but it makes the braid look smooth. Practice makes perfect!

Photobucket

Step 6:

Now cross this strand over the middle section.

Photobucket

Step 7:

Add some hair to the section on the right.....

Photobucket

Step 8:

.... And cross it over the middle section.

Photobucket

Step 9:

Repeat steps 5, 6, 7, and 8 until you run out of hair to add to the sections!

Photobucket

Step 10:

Now you can finish by braiding normally.

Put the left section over the middle section...

Photobucket

Step 11:

...... Then the right section over the new middle section,
etc,
and keep braiding until you cannot cross the sections over anymore.

Photobucket

Step 12:

Secure with a rubber band.

TADA!
