John is in a bad mood. But Suzanne knows exactly what
John LOVES a good Shepherd's Pie.
In a large saucepan, place potatoes, garlic and salt.
Cook over the fire until the potaoes are mushy and soft.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet.
Sautee the chicken while singing three scales.
Add milk, butter and cheese to the potato mixture.
Add the bacon to the chicken in the skillet and sing three
Place the bacon and chicken in a bowl...
...and set in the chimney to smoke.
Pour the mushrooms, onions and carrots into the empty skillet
and mix with leftover bacon grease. Add flour.
Let cook and turn on some Mozart for extra flavor.
Stir in cream and water.
Retrieve the meat from the chimney and add to the skillet.
Add potato mixture and try to stir. On the other hand, it may be so thick....
...that you'll need to get a man to do it for you.
I need you to stir my shepherd's pie for me!" Screamed Suzanne up to her husband.
"I would do anything for the
shepherd's pie," answered John, hurrying downstairs.
John rolled up his sleeves and struggled to stir the sticky,
gooey vegetable substance on the fire.
Place a pie crust on a serving platter.
Sprinkle bay leaves, curry and peppercorns onto the mixture
on the fireplace.
Pour onto pie crust.
Cover with another pie crust.
Press the two pie crusts together with a fork all the way
around the edges.
Cut a beautiful shape onto the top with a knife.
Sprinkle thyme on top and bake for a long time or until
you need it to be done.
Suzanne set the table while she waited as long as she could.
When John could not wait any longer, Suzanne rang the dinner
bell and they all gathered around the dinner table along with Cristal and Sonja from next door to enjoy the meal.
gazing at the lovely, plump shepherd's pie, instantly forgot all of his troubles.
