She wanted to set a bold statement
by wearing a dress made entirely out of black and white.
The skirt is the main feature of this ballgown, with its
rows and rows of draped black beads which Cristal spent a full two weeks sewing layer after layer on.
her considerable skills in beading from her sale of jewelry in her store, she managed to cover the entire skirt in black beads.
to say, the skirt is very heavy.
Following the theme of black and white, the finished hem
of this magnificent skirt includes two different colors of lace.
The black underneath and the white on top emphasize
the contrast between the two colors.
The small puffed sleeves are gathered on the face, ending
in a small white rose with a black ribbon.
The lace on the ends of the sleeves is white with a black trim.
The neck is lined in a black velvet fabric, and three white
roses set upon black bows line the front of the bodice.
Such a fine touch of black and white elegance!
Cristal carries a special fan that she made to match her
dress wherever she goes in this gown.
The fan is made of black and white beads and feathers, sewn together and finished
off by a matching white rose and black ribbon.

of that are gathered poufs of various black and white ribbons and laces.
