something new that was not fancy enough to be a ballgown, but which was also enough to show her wealth and status to the other
The bodice has a beautifully tucked front, made out of white
cotton with purple flowers. It is framed by the large lace, which has been sewn to look like a collar.
actual collar of the dress is covered with a sweet light purple ribbon.
Cristal took this part of her design from a
sailor dress pattern.
The sleeves, fashionably puffed, look elegant in the purple
silk and finished off by small lace and a gathered ribbon lace on the sleeve cuff.
The skirt comes down in tulip-like panels lined with ribbon
lace and coming up in the middle, curtain-style.
The bottom of the skirt is covered in large lace that
gracefully floats over the floor as Cristal walks.
