Leaving Georgia

Good morning y'all!

Today is the day we're leaving the south and heading back to the northwest.  Goodbye Georgia!  The Georgia National Fair was one of my favorite fairs this summer.  It was really well planned out and the fairgrounds were so nice!  The people were too.  We got to be really good friends with the man who helped us with our sound, (he was performing too) and it was very sad to say goodbye to him yesterday!  :'(

It was so hot and humid when we first got here at the beginning of the week, and completely opposite.  Cold and rainy!  You'd think it was Seattle!  LOL

Yesterday was Nafy's birthday and I can't believe I was all the way across the country from her.  I wonder what she got up to while I was gone.. I bet she ate lots of chocolate.

As soon as we get home preparation for the masked ball begins.  Cristal has started Suzanne's ballgown, but she's having some trouble with making it fancy enough.  Right now it would be perfectly suitable for a thanksgiving dinner... not the fanciest ball of the year!

Well, time to check out of the hotel and drive to the airport in Atlanta.

Talk to y'all later! ;)  (See, I have a southern accent now!  Just kiddin.')

Fall

Hey!

Today is the first day so far that actually feels like fall.  It was very chilly out this morning which kind of shocked me into realizing that it's about time to be bringing a coat with me wherever I go now!

Pleasantville is starting to look festive.  There are colorful leaves everywhere and the families are pulling out their warm winter clothes and blankets, and stocking up their piles of firewood.  For the Montoyas, not much is different.  But the Larsons are definitely noticing a change in temperature!  They'll be the first ones to get snow in about a month so they have to be completely ready for winter.

The masked ball is approaching, and therefore I have lots of sewing to do.  There are a couple very fashionable people who do NOT want to have to wear the same ball gown they wore at the last two balls, and it's hard to know where to start.  Cristal has a new gown, and so does Lisa at least!

 TTYL,

-Willow

Nafy

So lately, Nafy has been taking up a lot of my time because she's insisted on starting a video blog.  So not only do we have a Nafy and Elizabeth 5 News and a Nafycast, we're going to have a Nafy's video blog too.  Honestly, I don't know what she will come up with next.  Well... actually I do, but it's going to be a HUGE project!  That's a story for another day.

I worked on Lisa's ballgown for the masked ball yesterday, and it's going to be a bit crazy.  I looked up "red carpet" dresses on google images, and found a snazzy black one to use as a model, because Lisa wants to be the cutting edge of modern fashion.  She will definitely be the only one at the ball with a dress like hers!!

I just read about the idea to have a virtual Proper School course from the message board, and I think it's a really good idea.  It probably wouldn't be all that difficult for us to do, but we'll have to think about it!

Love,

Willow

Downtown Pleasantville

Wow, downtown Pleasantville is a MESS right now!  I just moved Clara's sweet shop, Bamboo Terrace and the General Store out into the middle of town square because the plan is to remove our big china hutch out from behind them.  If it is moved out of the way, then there will be enough room in town for a few more shops! :D  Cristal plans to make her fashion shop, and there has to be room for the Pleasantville tavern/restaurant.

This also means that Angelica's house has to move, and so does Kaya's cave.  That's a lot of disruption to happen in a few hours!  So now, not only are Megan, Alison, Lisa, and Creme homeless, so are Angelica, Sonja and Kaya! It's kind of overwhelming.  I don't like it when things are all ripped apart like this.  It'll be worth it when town square is all finished though.

It's cloudy and raining!?  Where did summer go??? At least it's not very hot, because I have a hard time getting anything done when it's sweltering outside.  Yesterday I made a new dress for Rebecca Parkington.  It was the first time I've done a doll sewing project since April!!!! I was so happy!!!

 Love,

Willow

Valparaiso, Indiana

Hi guys!

Here I am in the business center of a hotel in Indiana, and it's so nice to be on the internet again!  It's kind of sad how hard it is to go without internet for a week or two, imagine what things were like before computers?!  But anyway, finally I can check up on all my different accounts and catch up on things.

It's been about 3.5 weeks so far on this tour, which sounds like a lot but I'm actually surprised at how fast it's going by.  It's our longest tour yet, but pretty soon we'll actually be on the train going home? The fun thing is, we've had to ask my dad to send us some more CD's, because our stock of Celtic Rainbow CD's is down to 10!!! They'll be gone by the end of the day.

I really miss Pleasantville.  I bet the residents are keeping busy even without us though, haha.  Actually, the fantastic thing is that my dad has been spending lots of time working on the Montoya's new walls, and he's really taking his time and making it look extremely authentic.  He's sent us some pictures so far, and it's going to be amazing.  If only he could just making doll houses as a full time job, he is SO GOOD AT IT!!!!!

Well stay cool everyone, and try not to get too sunburnt!

Love,

Willow

We've arrived!!!!

I'm so happy to be in Indiana finally.. I just had a shower which was amazingly nice after a 44 hour train ride.  The first night on the train was fine, but I have to admit that the second night was quite uncomfortable.  At least there was some great scenery to look at though!  It was raining when we got here to South Bend, but tomorrow it's going to be sunny and in the 80's.  I'm so ready to do the first shows of the tour!

It was funny on the train, I was picturing characters in Pleasantville all taking a train ride somewhere and it was pretty amusing.  I could just imagine all the Merriman's lined up with their dinner partners waiting to enter the dining car, and I could see the Windmill's in baggy sweatpants, snacking on chips and listening to i-pods while sprawling on their seats.  I could see the Parkingtons listening avidly to the tour guide in the lounge car with the big windows, and I could definitely imagine Vera sitting on top of the train with her feet crossed over, meditating or chanting to herself, while Mei mei was trying to get her attention from a window down below to ask for a lift up to the roof. And I could go on... and on... ;)

I just wrote some new bios for the Purr family.  It's funny, I JUSt realized that it's funny how Diamond (Cristal's dog) is the only dog in a house full of cats.  Hahaha.

Well it's getting late over here, and I have to get up early in order to make it to breakfast in the hotel and have enough time to get all dressed up and organized before the first show.

 Wish me luck!

Love,

Willow

The latest, and 5 more days!
Now Playing: Printer printing something

It is a bright, sunny wednesday morning and there is not a cloud in the sky.  I'm feeling very positive, because our CD is in production, our shows are almost ready to go, and I'm ready to get going on this trip!  Woohoo!  5 days from now we're hopping on the train.

We took new family pictures of some of the Pleasantville families the other day because some of them were pretty out of date.  The Merriman's roof keeps falling down, so I had to fix it for their picture.. I can't wait for my dad to make that out of wood.  It's kind of low on his priority list though.  (Greta, Solana and I made his priority list for the doll houses. Haha)

We made up a new dance for our country show that is really really funny.  I think the Pleasantville residents must have had an influence on it... oh dear.  ;) It's one of my favorite ones now though, go figure!

It's been way too long since we did a sewing circle.  I can't wait to get home and  have some time to do sewing projects.  Cristal has lots of dresses planned, and Lisa wants some new ball gowns and stylish clothes.  Cristal also wants to make Katherine some new dresses, and Rebecca Parkington needs some summer dresses.

Well, I need to go practice with my sisters.  Again.  One more number to choreograph!

 Love,

Willow

The dolls are all dressed up, once again!
Now Playing: Maidens IV

Cristal's been constantly working on hairstyles these last few days, because the dolls are all getting dressed up for a special event.

I can't tell you what it's for though, it's a surprise!  You're really going to like it though so I'm really excited.  :-D

ALSO, my dad started working on the Montoya's house! Hoorayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!  So far he's made most of the cocina cooking fire that has a shepherd's bed over it, and it all looks perfect.  I can't wait to move the Montoyas back into the house, but it still won't be until August since we're leaving on tour in 12 days.  Aaahhhh... scary.  There's still so much practicing to do that it will actually be a relief when we get going.  When it gets to that point, all we have to do is perform!  That's the fun part. ;)

We watched America's Got Talent last night, and I'm really excited because me friends the Eriam Sisters did a really nice performance and got into the next round.  I'm so happy for them!

TTYL,

love,

Willow

Pleasantville Plans

I've kind of been daydreaming all morning about ideas for downtown Pleasantville.

Last night we were playing in town square, and Greta started working on a drawing of how we want all the buildings to look when my dad builds them.  Right now they're all made of cardboard except for Cristal and Suzanne's apartments, so my dad is eventually going to replace Clara's Sweet shop, the general store, Bamboo Terrace, the Post Office, and the Bank.  The plan is to add an extra story on some of the buildings, such as Clara's Sweet Shop.  Angelica would live on the top floor.

Then Cristal has had a brilliant idea to open her own Clothes Boutique, (since she already takes orders from people and sews them dresses) and she would sell hats and hair adornments and ballgowns and day dresses and suits for the men.  She's already decided that Sonja would work there at the front desk, so that Sonja could earn enough money to go to the hair salon even more!  ;)

Then the Merriman's General store would have an extra room attached to it that would be for the new Tavern, which would serve hearty soups and breads and have live entertainment.. etc.

On top of the tavern, Megan and Allison would get an apartment on top of the Tavern.  (They're not living anywhere right now! :-/)

Lisa would get to live on top of Cristal's Clothes Boutique, which would be right next to the bank, so she could always keep an eye out on it!

The bank is going to look amazing when my dad has time for it.  He has plans for pillars in the front, and steps leading to the door, and all this grand stuff that we saw on old buildings in Dublin when we were there last year.

*sigh*... Pleasanvtille planning is so much fun!!!!!

I don't know what my sisters and I are going to do without being able to play in Pleasantville for 5 whole weeks.  We'll probably have made up so many stories by the time we get back home, since whenver we're away from the dolls for a while we start having conversations between certain characters anyway.

Okay, I've got to go teach.

See you all next week!

Love,

Willow
